Why I started using essential oils

My first experience with oils started in a fitness studio I taught at and cleaned our mats and equipment with an essential oil spray. I thought the idea of cleaning with an oil was interesting and it smelled delicious, but since oils were never really discussed in depth during my studies, I simply left it at that. Years later, a friend gave me an oil to use for a headache I couldn’t get rid of and I was simply blown away to feel the pressure subside within minutes. I thought to myself, what in the world is this and what is it made with?!

So, what are essential oils?!

Essential oils are concentrated extracts that are distilled directly from plants, specifically from the bark, seeds, flowers and leaves. These oils are extremely unique and versatile, for each plant contains volatile compounds that create the aroma of a flower or plant. They are incredibly powerful and assimilate with our body’s chemical composition, meaning they support your body in its natural healing process so that you can focus on being the best you at all times.
